So I thought I should make a contribution to the blog. Despite working for a well known technology company, I am probably one of the least tech savvy people around. My skill sets peaked at windows 95. So I spent some time figuring out how to blog using a nexus 7 (easy to carry in a pack) and a weird dongle thing that allows me to take pictures from a SD card to the "device". After downloading several apps, despite the complete lack of any discernible file system on the tablet, and after some cursing, I was able to write this post in a matter of hours. Hope I can speed up or I will spend more time typing than walking in the next few weeks
The Camino de Santiago is a 800km trek across northern Spain and is described by anyone who has taken it as a Life Changing Experience. Since the Middle Ages, millions of people, both rich and poor, have completed the Camino to ensure they would spend less time in purgatory. Now we are joining these pilgrims as we endeavour to walk from St Jean Pied de Port in the French Pyrenees to the north west corner of Spain and the city of Santiago de Compostela.
I am so excited for your adventure and look forward to walking it vicariously by reading your blog!
ReplyDeleteI am in awe of you two. What an adventure you are embarking upon. Remember, the worst misery (though you certainly won't experience any of that) becomes a great adventure (and a fantastic story) after a hot shower and cold beer. Keep us all posted. Our thoughts will be with you throughout your trip.
ReplyDeleteThanks Daya and Royce. We have the compass attached to Gary's backpack! :D
