Day Four - Zubiri to Pamplona - 21.1km (but it felt like more!)

So today was a walk with some ups and some downs, some of the ups were hard work but we made it into Pamplona. It is weird being back in the city after walking through the open countryside. The route into the city took us the long way round - we could see where we wanted to get to but we never seemed to reach it, but we did pass a rather nice cake shop!

Last night in Zubiri there were two churches. Their bells rung the hour each hour during the night. However, they didn't ring at the same time but a few minutes apart. I woke just before 3, heard the bells ring 6 times and thought it was nearly time to get up!

Tonight we are going to get tapas in the town square and tomorrow we climb again to Alto Del Perdon and on to Puente La Reina. Rain is forecast........

  1. Great photos. Foggy, rainy + cool in Rose Bay today - but, inspired by your example, I walked anyway. Being outside and active in the rain really makes you feel alive. Onward fearless pilgrims!
