Last night we stayed in a small room above a bar. It was clean and simple and handy to get a drink before bedtime. The downside was that the bathroom was about 3 feet wide and we had to sit sideways on the toilet and climb over the toilet to get to the shower.
We also went to see a cellist performing some Bach last night as part of a film that is being made about travelling the Camino and playing concerts en route. We are not classical music fans but it was interesting and enjoyable to listen to the concert.
Today we walked up a 1km hill at the start back onto the "meseta" plain. It was pretty hot (about 28 degrees) and a long slog but apart from the start the walk was very flat for the rest of the 27km.
Tomorrow we have another walk on the meseta but only for 20km, so we plan on starting a little later.
